I arranged and recorded the "Dance of the Sauvages" (Dance of the Savages) by Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683 - 1764),
for flute and harpsichord (or piano) or flute and backing track.
I've transposed it down to D minor (from the original F sharp minor) to suit the range of the flute.
It's going down well on Youtube ..... (click to enlarge) ...
Fresh ideas in flute music
Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683 - 1764)
This is the lively "Dance of the Savages" by Jean-Philippe Rameau,
arranged for flute and piano (or harpsichord).
It's an instrumental piece from Rameau's opera, Les Indes galantes (The Amorous Indies). Before that,
Rameau used the music as a movement from one of his harpsichord Suites.
A charming lively melody .....
